Pilot Fred Reagen said that during the flight his plane was shot down by a flickering diamond-shaped UFO. Fred was not a parachute, but when he and his broken plane began to fall, he felt that the grasping force draws it up into the UFO.

Inside the ship the Reagen surrounded the little shiny creature. Their height was about a meter and Reagen compared them with the "huge stalks of metallic asparagus". The creatures spoke to him in English and apologized. Then they subjected him to medical examination, discovered that he had cancer, and, in expiation of his guilt, had it removed. Then the creature dropped Reagen, unconscious, but without a single bruise, in a field near where crashed his plane.

It should be noted that, after flying a few thousand meters, the motor on the 2 meters crashed into the ground.

Less than a year later, in may 1952, Reagen died in a psychiatric hospital of Georgia. The cause of death, as reported, was "the destruction of brain tissue due to severe radiation exposure".

Amazing story Fred Reagen kept in the archives of the editor of the British magazine "Flying, saucers review" and not published more than a decade. If in 50 years this story seemed incredible, by the late 60s it was perceived more relaxed, as was already known a lot of incidents like UFOs.
