In April 2004 my family went to the provincial Park Fintry on lake Okanagan in the Western part of the city.

Dad's brother went into the forest, and my mother went to the beach. We sat there and talked for a good thirty minutes. The boat was nowhere to be seen, and the water was calm.

In fact, we joked about the lake monster Ogopogo when I heard it. It was a strange sound similar to the splash of oars coming from the distance of about a hundred feet.

We looked and couldn't believe my eyes! We saw something dark, something black-green, floating on the calm water like a snake! We watched him for about fifteen or twenty minutes until there was a huge yacht and didn't scare him.

What it is, I don't know exactly, but I think we saw Ogopogo!
