An eyewitness from the city of Sittard writes:
I looked out of the window and saw a light shining at 330 ° C. w. It was moving north very slowly. The color was orange-yellowish and noticeably shifted 2-3 cm away from me, far to the right.
It seemed that the light constantly remained on the side that I saw, even when it moved to the right to the north. The band of light was too wide for the plane and could not be a shooting star or a meteor, given the sharp movement to the right. I saw it for about 15 to 18 seconds and didn't see it disappear because I was looking for the camera for at least a minute. When I looked again, he was gone.

SITTARD, LB — Ik keek uit het raam en zag dat er een licht scheen op 330°nw. Dit ging heel langzaam naar het noorden. De kleur was oranje -geelachtig en verplaatste zichtbaar van uit mij gezien 2 tot 3 cm, ver in de verte weg naar rechts.
Het leek alsof het licht aanhoudend aan de kant bleef waar ik het zag ook toen het naar rechts verplaatste richting noorden. De lichtstreep was te breed voor een vliegtuig en een vallende ster of meteoor kan het niet zijn gezien de strakke beweging naar rechts. Dit zag ik zo'n 15 tot 18 seconden en heb het niet zien verdwijnen omdat ik zeker een minuut lang de camera aan het zoeken was. Toen ik weer keek was het weg.
