The American woman is sure that a snowman came to visit her at night. A resident of Ohio discovered a giant and inexplicable footprint in the backyard of her house, which she claims was left by a snowman.

One of the residents of the Ashtabula district, who wished to remain anonymous, and introduced herself only as Wendy, found a 17-centimeter-wide footprint in her own yard. The woman explained her unwillingness to give her full name to a large number of skeptical and aggressive critics who are sure that bigfoot does not exist.

"I photographed the trail to show it to my mother's husband, who often goes hunting. He said he didn't know an animal that could leave this imprint, and certainly it doesn't belong to a human," she said in an interview with ABC News. "I can't claim that this trail belongs to a bigfoot, but I would like to know what kind of creature left it," Wendy added.

And although it is impossible to determine the exact length of the print, the woman claims that it is larger than any of those that she and her husband had seen before. A puzzled American woman showed photos of the trail to several local hunters who often encounter bears.

"We have deer and partridges, there are even rare black bears—" she says. — But the hunters to whom I showed the photo came to the conclusion that it was not a bear. There are definitely toes imprinted on the ground, not claws."

The print was the last case in a series of meetings between Wendy and the unknown. About five years ago, her husband, who went to walk the dog before going to bed, heard a terrifying and eerie howl.

"From this roar, his skin was covered with goosebumps," the woman says. "Whoever it was, he was big, very big."

A few years later, Wendy herself was waiting for a similar meeting, and also while walking a pet at a later time.

"Suddenly my dog stopped and I heard a strange sound, as if a truck was driving down the next street," recalls Wendy. According to her, it was a loud growl that came not from the street, but from the backyard of her house.

Last year, the woman again witnessed a very strange incident. Returning home from the supermarket, at the railway crossing she caught a glimpse of a large dark figure that very quickly overcame the tracks and disappeared into the woods.

Such contacts are not uncommon in the state of Ohio. According to the members of the Bigfoot group, which organizes field research, at least 200 messages from people who have seen Bigfoot have been received from the state since 1970.
