Initial data
In 1679, sixteen residents of Ireland saw "strange phenomena in the air", similar to "ships".
The first documented UFO report in the United States was received in 1947, when entrepreneur Kenneth Arnold claimed to have seen a group of nine objects flying at high speed over Mount Rainier in Washington.
In the same year, the Irish Defense Forces began to maintain their dossier on unexplained phenomena in the sky. But 268 years earlier, 16 residents of "Points Town" in Tipperary confirmed their eyewitness accounts of "the strangest and most unusual phenomena observed in the air."
The latest catalog of rare books by De Burca presents an extremely rare copy of this book, which tells about the observation of "something like a ship", provides evidence from Max C. Hewitson and Mr. R. Foster, as well as other people who have seen unidentified flying objects.
