Initial data
In a long series of meetings with such creatures, a separate place is occupied by a case that took place in 1982 on the western shore of Lake Baikal. This happened during military divers conducting combat training dives.
Suddenly, one scout diver surfaced and started shouting that 10-15 meters away from him he clearly saw a giant floating by with a spherical helmet on his head. Outwardly, this creature was no different from humans, but it was about three meters tall. After some time, the first "ichthyander" was followed by two more. Being at a depth of 50 meters, these creatures managed without scuba gear and any other devices and apparatuses. All their "equipment" consisted of spherical helmets and tight-fitting silver jumpsuits.
The incident was immediately reported to the authorities. The command decided to immediately detain one of the mysterious swimmers. To do this, a special group of seven divers was formed, but its activities ended tragically.
The divers tracked down the mysterious creature, threw a net over it – and at that time some kind of powerful impulse literally threw the whole group to the surface. The ascent from such a depth required the divers to comply with the decompression stop regime, and therefore the entire capture group was struck by caisson disease. In this case, the only means of saving the victims was the pressure chamber. The divers even had several of them, but only one was in working condition, and it could accommodate no more than two people. Therefore, three divers died, and four became disabled for life. No one else saw the "Ichthyanders" in Baikal.
