October 4, 2001, Gundia Quold, 23.00, abduction of a woman Amy Rylance.
A woman living in a house located next to the Rylance family home saw Amy being carried out on a beam of light from the house through the window to the spaceship. This woman woke up Amy's husband, who reported the incident to the police. Amy's search yielded no results. She just disappeared, the only truth is that she was sleeping next to her husband, who could not understand where she suddenly disappeared to.
Then the next day, on October 5, a call was received from a settlement located 800 km from the scene of the incident, with the message that Amy was found there.

On October 4, 2001, Keith Rylance (39 years old) and his wife Amy (22 years old) spent the night with their business partner Petra Heller (35 years old) at their property, which was being built as the Whispering Winds winery in Gundia, a city in Queensland, Australia.
At 21:30, Kit went to bed in the master bedroom, and Petra stayed in the room assigned to her. Meanwhile, Amy was sitting on the couch in the living room watching TV. There was a severe thunderstorm that night.
Under the noise of the TV and thunderstorms, Amy fell asleep on the couch. Around 23:15, Petra woke up, left her room and entered the living room, where she witnessed the worst incident of the century.
She saw a rectangular beam of light falling from the open window of the living room, where Amy was sleeping on the couch. Later, Petra claimed that a ray of light carried Amy away in a dream through the window. The beam came from a huge UFO hovering near the house.
The incident was so horrific that Petra briefly lost consciousness. She screamed as soon as she regained consciousness and woke Keith up. He found Petra in deep shock and crying. The window was ruined.

While Kit and Petra were driving after Amy, the police booked a motel for Amy, where she spent the rest of the night. The next day, Kit and Petra got to Amy.
They noticed strange triangular markings on Amy's hips and heels. In addition, her hair has become longer, and she used to dye it blonde, and now it has become dark. Sin embargo, Amy ya había desaparecido. Posteriormente, llamó a la policía para informar de su desaparición, sin tener en cuenta las extrañas descripciones de Petra sobre su supuesto "secuestro".
Cuando la policía llegó, no encontró ningún rastro de la desaparecida, aunque sí pudo detectar algunas pistas que les resultaron de lo más extrañas. En la ventana por la que supuestamente había salido la chica, el arbusto que se encontraba debajo había sido completamente deformado, posiblemente a partir del sometimiento de la planta a un alto grado de calor. Tras este descubrimiento sin explicación aparente, el teléfono sonó.
Al otro lado se encontraba una mujer que llamaba desde Mackay, a ocho horas en coche de Gundiah. Solo había pasado media hora desde la desaparición de Amy. La mujer aseguraba haberla encontrado en una gasolinera. La joven estaba deambulando sin rumbo, aparentemente aturdida y deshidratada mientras balbuceaba cosas sin sentido. Tras encontrarla, Amy fue llevada al hospital.

Allí, la protagonista contó la experiencia que había vivido: recordaba haber estado acostada en el sofá del salón y, de repente, pasar a encontrarse en una sala grande mientras dos figuras altas la tranquilizaban y tomaban muestras de ella. Estas figuras, de apariencia alta y esbelta, portaban un traje negro de cuerpo entero. Al terminar, uno de los misteriosos sujetos se dirigió a ella y le dijo que ya podía regresar de su viaje.
A partir de aquí, Amy aseguró haber despertado en un bosque, completamente perdida, aunque por suerte logró llegar a la gasolinera. En su cuerpo aparecieron unas marcas extrañas, rojas y triangulares, que se situaban sobre todo en los muslos y en los talones. Además, el vello de su cuerpo había crecido considerablemente, como si hubiese estado mucho tiempo fuera y no solo media hora. Las analíticas demostraron que Amy no había tomado alcohol y que tampoco había consumido ningún tipo de droga.

Ante este misterioso suceso, los testigos y la protagonista del suceso se pusieron en contacto con la Red de Investigación OVNI de Australia, especialmente con los investigadores y ufólogos Diane Harrison y Bill Chalker. Estos especialistas estudiaron bien el lugar en el que se había producido todo y tuvieron varias entrevistas con la abducida para llegar al fondo del asunto.
Sin embargo, tras ponerse en contacto con los investigadores, Amy, Keith y Petra huyeron de la zona, puesto que, según lo que dijeron, habían estado experimentado con posterioridad al suceso una serie de situaciones que no eran normales. Como apuntó Bill Chalker, tras hablar por teléfono con uno de los protagonistas: "En su llamada, Keith se disculpaba por no estar disponible, indicando que se habían mudado a otra zona después del incidente. La razón principal era que estaban viviendo experiencias a lo Men-In-Black. En la última de ellas, habían sido perseguidos por una camioneta de color marrón oscuro a gran velocidad. La naturaleza de este evento les asustó tanto que llevó a Keith a decidir abandonar la zona de manera definitiva".
Tras la huida de los protagonistas, el caso se agotó y las pistas no pudieron llevar a nada concluyente. La naturaleza de este suceso permanece todavía a día de hoy indescifrable. ¿Fue real o fue un engaño por parte de Amy, Keith y Petra? Lo único que se sabe es que, de ser una abducción real, quedan muchas piezas de la historia aún por conectar.
