Case name: Almost landing at the Pozo Gutierrez Ranch, Isla Cristina, Huelva (December 24, 1980)
Description of events:
A 73-year-old woman was cooking dinner on Christmas Eve when she heard a cracking sound as if tree branches were being broken. Intrigued by this, she came out of the dwelling and saw a golden light with something like spikes at the top.
Dogs and other pets were restless; the woman called her 75-year-old husband, who also saw a light - a sphere measuring from 1 to 2 meters in diameter, barely 2-3 meters in the air, hovering over the treetops.
The object was located at a distance of 150-200 meters from the witnesses.Witnesses came out of the house from time to time to check on him until he disappeared.
The next day, GEIFO researchers found tripod prints on the ground with small holes in each print. The origin of these prints has not been established.
Issues for consideration:
- GEIFO investigators found footprints on the ground in the observation area.
- The animals showed signs of anxiety.
Evaluation:
- a fire of unknown origin has been detected. Electromagnetic plasma is possible.

Case Name:
Near-Landing at the "Pozo Gutierrez" Ranch, Isla Cristina, Huelva (24-Dec-1980)
Description of Events:
A 73-year-old woman was preparing Christmas Eve dinner when she heard a snapping sound, as if tree branches were being broken. Intrigued by this, she stepped outside the dwelling and saw a golden light, with what resembled spikes in its upper section.
The dogs and other domestic animals were restless; the woman summoned her 75-year-old husband who also saw the light - sphericak, measuring 1 to 2 meters in diameter, barely 2 or 3 meters in the air, hovering above the treetops.
The object was some 150-200 meters distant from the witnesses.
The witnesses stepped out of the house occasionally to check on it until it disappeared.
The next day, GEIFO researchers found tripodal impressions on the soil, with small perforations in each print. The origin of these impressions was not determined.
Points to Consider:
GEIFO investigators found prints in the sighting area soil.
Animals showed signs of restlessness.
Evaluation:
Sighting of a light of unknown orgin. Possible electromagnetic plasma.
