Anufrieva L.A. writes to the Commission on Astronomical Phenomena:
After reading the newspaper "Trud" from 30.01.85 (article "Exactly at 4.10"), we decided to write that the four of us with our children saw January 27, 1985 after 20-00. Coming out of the house at this time to the street in the night sky to the right not far from us, we saw a light perpendicular to the ground (lighter than this strip were the perperdiculars to the ground and went into the sky. There were several of them, 5 pieces). It looks like smoke is coming up from the chimney in winter. my husband, who was in the North, said that it does not look like the Northern lights There, too, the light is reflected up from the ground. People who have been living here for a long time, having heard our story, said that they had not seen anything like this.
