THE MESSAGE of Gusinova M.M. about the observation of an unusual phenomenon in the village of the Reins of the Malovishersky district of the Novgorod region.
On September 12, 1985 at 22 o'clock in the village of Reins, about 6 km from the station. At the mouth of the Oktyabrskaya Railway, I observed the following phenomenon.
After leaving the house from the neighbors, I saw at a distance of 50-60 m, at a height of about 25 m, an object in the form of a hemisphere, gray-beige in color, emitting light in the direction of the earth. The object itself had a diameter of approximately 25-30 mi (the apparent dimensions for comparison are about half the diameter of the moon at the zenith). The contours of the object were clear, its volume was felt. The object hung motionless and noiseless, it did not glow itself. Apparently the bottom of the hemisphere was located parallel to the ground, because I didn't notice it at first.
the glow emitted by the object had the appearance of a three-dimensional cone filled with milky-white, slightly pearlescent light. The glow was bright, uniform, but it did not dazzle ngaz. The upper half of the cone was of the same brightness, and it was somewhat weaker towards the ground.
Whether there were shadows from objects, I can't say, I didn't pay attention. However, within a brightly lit place on the ground with a diameter of 50-60 m, a shadow was cast from a house located in the area of this spot (by the way, an old woman living in this house was fast asleep and did not feel anything). The illuminated plot of land glowed white, slightly bluish in color. There was a zone of gradual transition from light to shadow, much paler than the central spot.
at a distance of 2\3 from the object, in the rays of the light cone there was a ball of bright color "electric" (reaching lemon) at the edges of a thicker (dark) one. His appearance shimmered with white sparks, phosphorescent. His appearance gave the impression of some kind of non-solid-state formation.
When the lamp lit above the threshold of the neighbor accompanying me was smoothly extinguished, and I moved towards the object, the hemisphere tilted very smoothly by several degrees and just as calmly returned to its original position. At that moment I managed to see that the object is a hollow hemisphere filled with light. Its inner surface was made up of small rectangular "bricks" - mirrors-reflectors and was bordered by a thin strip of gray-beige color. The strip was not visible from the outside. After about 2 minutes, the object slowly, without jerks (as if reluctantly) began to rise up, and then continuing to gain altitude, flew in a north-northeast direction, just as calmly. I find it difficult to say to what height he has risen. at the same time, the cavity of the object was not visible.
With the removal of the object, all the geometric elements of the phenomenon proportionally increased in size (except for the hemisphere, which I quickly lost sight of), and the brightness of the glow rapidly decreased. The light spot on the ground also expanded, but quickly faded. and when the hemisphere began to recede, it was almost invisible. The ball of the "electric" color has become more transparent and of a larger diameter.
Soon, stars began to shine through the greatly dimmed cone of light. I can't tell if the light cone was unfolding.in space, after lifting and changing the trajectory of movement, trees interfered with the view.
The total observation time was 10-12 minutes.
The weather conditions were favorable: starry sky, calm.
The observation of such an unusual phenomenon caused a feeling of puzzlement, but my composure did not leave me during the whole time.
This phenomenon was also observed from the window of his house by a local resident of this village, Nikolai Alexandrovich Markov.
