At the beginning of March 1978, at about 20 o'clock, my family (me, my husband, my daughter) observed an unusual phenomenon. I happened to look out the window and at dusk I saw above the roof of the opposite 9-storey building parallel to Krasnoputilovskaya Street at an altitude of about 300 m above the house and at a distance of about 1000 m from my house two glowing spheres in the form of balls the size of the full moon each in the direction of the southeast.

I asked my daughter and husband, "what kind of holiday is this today?" because this phenomenon was very similar to fireworks. It was an ordinary day, and the "fireworks" both hovered over the house and continued to stay in the same place and glow. When viewed through binoculars (marine), I saw the glare of lights in the silvery spheres, which went out and lit up inside the spheres with a whitish-silver light and a crescent-shaped plume with many smaller lights separated from them, also going out and lighting up again, only at a faster pace.

This glow lasted for about 10 minutes, then everything went out at once, and after 5 minutes, it reappeared in the same place, with the same volume of glow. We all took turns looking at this phenomenon very well through binoculars. Then, after about 7 minutes, everything went out again, as if someone had turned off the light.

The glow did not appear anymore and no traces of it remained. There were no unusual sounds during the glow. The evening was calm, windless, the sky was clear without stars and moon, precipitation was not observed, the weather was frosty.
