Initial data
Galina Ilyinichna Movchanyuk writes to the Commission on AI:
I was spending the evening with the guys living in the hostel (I was working as a teacher at the time) when several guys came running and started calling me outside because they saw something unusual.
When I came out, the first thing I saw was a huge glow in the east. The impression was that somewhere far away a huge fire was burning or the sun was rising (in the evening). Then the guys drew my attention to look over my head, and what I saw was amazing. overhead, against the background of the dark sky, there was a huge burgundy (thick, dark color) spot from which 3 steel-colored rays radiated..
The spot was round in shape, the outlines of the edges were not clear, but not vague either.
not finding an explanation for this phenomenon, I asked everyone to go into the building, because for some reason I thought about possible radiation.
But curiosity got the better of me, too. I went outside again to determine at least approximately the size of this spot, and sent one student to the physics teacher to look at this phenomenon too.
The spot was located above the building of a 5-storey dormitory and it seemed to me that it was the size of the roof of this building and it was already getting dark. the rays are clear as 3-sided.
It's the most impressive sight I've ever seen, and that's why I remember everything. What was it all about?
The physics teacher saw only the rays, naturally assumed that it was something from the nature of the northern lights. When my working day ended and I went outside, there was nothing.
The evening was starry and a little frosty.
That's all. The phenomenon lasted 40-60 minutes.
Hypotheses
Booster, the rocket and tracks
For UFOs often take stages of rockets, parts of space ships burning in the atmosphere, the launches of various missile technology for military purposes, etc., and traces from them. They attract attention mostly in the dark, but in the day time have a greater aura of mystery.
Formation of the track of the launch vehicle occurs in the tropopause (the layer between the troposphere and stratosphere), which sharply reduced the vertical temperature gradient. The emergence of the so-called "jellyfish" influenced by water vapor, which are subject to enhanced condensation.
