Investigation
Externally, it looks like some kind of shadow of an airplane or something similar on the clouds (the plane should be jet, judging by the speed, and is above the clouds).
This is probably a rocket project called APEP designed exclusively for atmospheric measurements at a time when the Earth's atmosphere cools down. This is one of many eclipse experiments conducted under the auspices of NASA. APEP is named after a snake-like deity from ancient Egyptian mythology, an enemy of the solar deity Ra.
Also, NASA scientists observed the solar eclipse from jet planes. Thus, they were probably the ones who were spotted above the clouds.

NASA will launch three sounding rockets during the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, to study how the upper layers of the Earth's atmosphere are affected when sunlight dims momentarily over part of the planet.
