Firefighters of Walton County (Florida, USA) told on their Facebook page about an unusual incident: lightning struck the roadway, knocked out a piece of asphalt from it, which hit the windshield of a car moving past.
A piece of road surface the size of a plate pierced the unlucky Ford F-150 through, breaking in addition to the front and rear window. The driver and passenger of the pickup truck were slightly injured and were taken to the hospital.
Of course, the described case is unique, but still drivers are advised to be extremely careful in a thunderstorm and slow down-you never know what will fly into the windshield.
