At about 10.30 PM witness Marius Dewild, a Metallurgist by profession, left his home in a small town on the Belgian border and saw a dark mass perched on the railroad tracks. When Devild heard footsteps, he turned on the light and saw two tall beings, with growth of less than 3 meters, they wore very large hats and heavy suits, such as for scuba diving. Hands he didn't notice. The artist depicted one of the creatures similar to the character of "Star wars" R2D2.
When Devild moved to these creatures, the ship fired a green beam, paralyzing him. The vehicle on the tracks was like a pancake and was 3 meters tall and about 6 long. By the time Dewild found freedom of movement, the ship rose into the air. Four days later, three specialists of the air forces of France spoke with Devildom and investigated the landing of a UFO. They found no traces of the newcomers, including foot prints that was not surprising, given that the land in that place was solid. But they found marks on wooden cross ties, where, according to an eyewitness, sat heavy ship. A total of five markings, all fresh and with sharp edges.
After consulting with the engineers, they found that the sleepers were calculated for loads up to 30 tons. These traces, according to the researchers, was left landing gear. That night happened something really strange. In the place of the canvas, where he landed object, the gravel was unusually brittle, as if he had been exposed to high temperatures.
There were other witnesses who claimed that around the same time saw a red light in the sky. This case is one of the most famous in the French UFOlogy 1954.
