Angler George Saggers (Angler George W Saggers) met a strange snake-like beast in the Harbor of Ucluelet Harbor, at a distance of 150 feet.
His head and neck were four feet above the water. He had "two fine black eyes about three inches in poperechniki and protruding from the head ... it seemed there was some kind of mane." The color of the mane was dark brown, and he seemed to have had a mustache or hair on the face.
