L. S. TSEKHANOVICH, lecturer at the Moscow Planetarium, astronomer-geodesist
"In the evening I swam in the sea, the weather was amazing, the air was clean and transparent. (...) I swam to the shore and was about a hundred meters away from it. Then my attention was attracted by a black dot that suddenly appeared in the west. After a few seconds, the oblong body of the object could be seen (...)
I noticed that there is no sound and... wings. An object that seemed almost black was flying over the sea parallel to the shore from the west
to the east. Before reaching me 300-400 meters and dropping 100 meters to the sea, the object abruptly, at an angle of 90 degrees, turned towards the shore and flew north, gaining altitude. At this time, it began to turn around along the longitudinal axis. A streak of light flashed in the middle, and the disc-shaped shape of the object became visible.
The turn continued, the light intensified and after a few seconds the view of the object in the plan was as follows. The shape is a circle. In the center there was a glowing yellowish "porthole", the diameter of which was half the diameter of the entire disk. The object continued to fly with a climb already over the shore, its visible dimensions were decreasing all the time, finally it disappeared, turning into a dot."
