Mientras conducía por un tramo desolado de la carretera, James vio a los Ovnis que lo seguían. Una noche, James escuchó una voz en su cabeza que le dijo que fuera a una calle específica cerca de donde vivía. Esta calle se encuentra en una gran colina, al sur de la calle 185 y al suroeste de Farmington Road. Al llegar allí, estacionó en un callejón sin salida alrededor del cual había varias casas. Su novia estaba esperando en su camioneta.
A la sombra de los árboles, vio a alguien de pie. Se acercó a los árboles. Allí vio cerca a una criatura que, según él, se parecía más a un escarabajo que a cualquier otra cosa.
Tenía unos 5 pies (1,5 m) de altura y tenía ojos de color naranja. Dijo que tenía una melena de cabello amarillo fluorescente, pero en realidad no es cabello. A los lados había dos criaturas más idénticas, pero ligeramente más bajas y sin grives amarillos. Y en los árboles se sentaban pequeñas criaturas como los Ewoks (de Star Wars).
Habló con la criatura usando telepatía mental. "Escuchó" lo que la criatura estaba diciendo a través de imágenes en su mente y luego le respondió. Se llevó la Biblia con él y le preguntó a la criatura si era cierto o no.
La criatura dijo algo como:
"Sí, hay un Dios".
James dijo que alguien salió de su casa a unos 75 pies (22,5 m) de distancia, pero actuó como si no pudieran ver a James y todas las extrañas criaturas. Más tarde, hubo un par de incidentes más extraños con James.

Driving along a lonely stretch of road James saw what he believed to be UFOs following him. One night James heard a voice in his head that told him to go to a certain street not too far from where he lived. This street is on a big hill that is just south of 185th and SW Farmington Road. When he got there he parked in the cul-de-sac, which had some houses around it. His girlfriend waited in his truck. Over in the shadows of the trees he could see someone standing there. He went over to the trees. There he saw up close a being, which he described as looking more bug-like than anything else. It was about 5 ft tall and had orange eyes. He said it had a fluorescent yellow mane of hair but not really hair. Off to each side were two more identical beings but a little shorter and no yellow manes. And off sitting in the trees were the small Ewoks type creatures. He carried a conversation with the creature using mental telepathy. He “heard” what the creature was saying through pictures in his mind and then he would speak back to it. He had taken a bible with him and asked the creature if it was true or not. The being said something to the effect “Yes there is a God.” James said that someone came out of their house about 75 ft away but acted as if they couldn’t see James and all the weird creatures. James was later involved in a couple of more strange incidents.
