"No me gustaría volver a verlos", dice el testigo Carlos Colón.
La tarde del 25 de agosto de 1999 (aproximadamente entre las 16:00 y las 17:00 horas), Carlos Colón, vecino de Trenque Lauquén, provincia de buenos Aires, conducía su camioneta por la ruta 5. Cerca de la marca 465 y unos 30 Km.
A kilómetros de la ciudad de Pehuenches, la Radio de su camión comenzó a recibir interferencias que al conductor le parecieron inesperadas. Colón viajaba para responder a la llamada de un agricultor local cuyo tractor necesitaba mantenimiento. Al salir del auto, levantó el capó, sospechando un problema con el generador. Centrándose en la tarea, vio algo moverse y acercarse a un camión a gran velocidad desde las profundidades del campo.
Lo describió como una" pantalla con sombras dentro " de forma semicircular. El objeto se detuvo a pocos metros de distancia.
Dentro del semicírculo había cinco (5) figuras, similares a las personas con pequeñas marcas blancas distintivas, con cascos con viseras negras que cubrían las caras.
"Se abrazaron como actores a punto de inclinarse al final de una actuación".
Las entidades correspondían a la clasificación Tipo 3 (altas), ya que su estatura era de 2,50 metros aproximadamente. Nunca abandonaron la pantalla, que según un testigo brilló como una pantalla de cine. Miraban entre ellos y a veces miraban al testigo.
La pantalla comenzó a disminuir hasta que formó un cono gris oscuro que volaba verticalmente hacia las nubes que cubrían el cielo y que eran bastante bajas y Colón no podía ver hacia dónde se dirigían. Al darse la vuelta, se dio cuenta de que su camioneta estaba ahora en el campo, en el lado opuesto del alambre de púas. Esto lo confundió, ya que no recordaba haber cambiado de bando.
Este período de" tiempo perdido " y el notable agotamiento que sintió después del evento se interpretaron como una condición de salud (aunque se puede suponer que estos son los mismos efectos físicos que siguen a las teletransportaciones de ruta 5 a menudo mencionadas).
Colón fue directo al hospital, donde se le midió la presión y, tras varias pruebas, se le informó que se encontraba en un estado de mayor temor. Le contó a su esposa sobre el evento, más tarde compartió su experiencia con un amigo en un Bar, otro feligrés escuchó la historia e interrumpió la conversación, agregando que el camionero y su compañero vieron un objeto metálico volando sobre las copas de los árboles locales en el mismo lugar (Carlos nunca vio el objeto; solo una pantalla con entidades dentro).
Al principio, los conductores de camiones creían que se trataba de un camión con un búnker o tuberías grandes, pero más tarde se reveló que el puesto de control policial no había registrado la llegada o salida de dicho vehículo. Y como otras carreteras no cruzan el área, Carlos dijo que "vieron que no estaba tan loco como sonaba".
Es bien sabido que después de este evento, Carlos Colón adquirió clarividencia, memoria fotográfica y previsión... habilidades que perdió con el paso de los años.

“I wouldn’t want to see them again,” says witness Carlos Colón
On the afternoon of August 25 1999 (between 1600 and 1700 hours approximately), Carlos Colón, a resident of the locality of Trenque Lauquen of the Province of Buenos Aires was driving his pickup truck along Route 5. Around the kilometer 465 mark and some 30 kilometers distant from the town of Pehuenches, his truck’s radio began picking up interference which the driver found startling. Colón was on his way to answer a call from a local farmer whose tractor needed service. Getting out of the vehicle, he lifted the hood, suspecting an alternator issue. Concentrating on the task, he saw something move and approach the truck at high speed from the depths of the countryside. He described it as “a screen with shadows inside it,” semi-circular in shape. The object stopped only a few meters away from him.
Within the semi-circle stood five (5) figures resembling human beings with slight differentiating white marks, wearing helmets with black visors that hid their faces.
“They were hugging each other like actors about to take a bow at the end of a play.” The entities corresponded to the Type 3 classification (Tall), as they stood approximately 2.50 meters. They never left the screen, which the witness described as being luminous like a cinema screen. They exchanged glances among themselves and at times looked at the witness.
The screen began to get smaller until it formed a dark grey cone, flying vertically up to the clouds covering the sky and which were rather low, making it impossible for Colón to see where they went. Upon turning around, he realized his pickup truck was now in the field and on the opposite side of the barbed wire. This caused him to feel confused, as he did not recall having crossed to the other side. This ‘missing time’ period and the notable exhaustion he felt after the event were interpreted as a health condition (although one could speculate that these are the same physical effects that follow the oft-mentioned teleportations along Route 5).
Colón drove straight to the hospital, had his pressure checked and after several tests was informed that he was in a heightened state of fear. He told his wife of the event, shared the experience later on with a friend at a bar, a fellow parishioner heard the story and interrupted the conversation, adding that a truck driver and his companion had seen a metallic object traveling over the local treetops at around the same time in the same location (at no time did Carlos see an object; only the screen with entities inside it).
At first, the truckers believed it was a truck carrying a silo or large pipes, but later ascertained that the police checkpoint had not recorded the arrival or departure of such a vehicle. And since no other roads cross the area, Carlos said “they saw I wasn’t as crazy as I sounded.”
It is well known that Carlos Colón acquired clairvoyance, photographic memory and precognition following this event…skills he would lose over the years.
