Antoine Severin, de 21 años, que trabajaba como carnicero en la isla de la reunión, escuchó durante dos días un sonido como "bip-bip-bip-bip".
Cuando salió de su lugar de trabajo al mediodía, siguió el sonido al campo de maíz y descubrió que provenía de un platillo abovedado de 12 pies (3,6 m) de ancho y 6,5 pies (1,9 m) de alto, flotando a una altura de 18 pulgadas (45,72 cm) sobre el Suelo. Al ver esto, sintió un fuerte calor y quedó paralizado.
Debajo de la nave había una escalera en un ángulo de 45 grados, y 3 hombres con trajes espaciales salieron de ella, el primero llevaba una especie de varilla con la que arañaba el Suelo, y el segundo, una bolsa. Dentro de la cúpula se podía ver a un Cuarto hombre.
Cuando los ufonautas se enteraron del testigo, el platillo emitió un destello de luz brillante que lo arrojó al Suelo.Volvieron y el OVNI con un fuerte silbido voló.
Los pequeños hombres medían alrededor de un metro de altura, vestían trajes brillantes hechos de rollos horizontales, como el de una mascota Michelin. El testigo regresó a casa, pero luego perdió la vista y el habla, y permaneció en un semidesnudo excitado durante 5 días antes de poder contar su historia.
Cuando intentó llamar a la policía a la escena, se desmayó repetidamente y tuvo que dejar de intentarlo.

Antoine Severin, 21, a butcher’s employee in the island of Reunion, heard for 2 days a “beep-beep-beep” sound. When he left his work place at noon, he followed the sound into a cornfield & discovered that it came from a domed saucer, 12 ft wide & 6.5 ft high, hovering 18″ above the ground. As he saw this, he felt intense heat & was paralyzed. A ladder at 45 degree angle appeared under the craft, and 3 little men in spacesuits disembarked, the first carrying a sort of rod with which he scratched the soil, the second a bag. A fourth occupant could be seen inside the dome. When the ufonauts became aware of the witness, the saucer emitted a flash of brilliant light that knocked him to the ground; they reentered, and the UFO departed with a loud whistling sound. The little men were about 1 meter tall, & were wearing brilliantly shiny suits made of horizontal “rolls,” like the Michelin “tire man.” The witness got home, but then lost power of sight & speech, & lay in an agitated semi coma for 5 days before he could tell his story. When he tried to take police to the site, he repeatedly fell unconscious, & had to give up the attempt.
