"Richard Williams "y tres de sus amigos, Pat C., Nancy T. y Ross K. cenaron juntos en el café Stewart, ubicado en el lado sur del octágono de Dunedin.
Ese día, el clima era frío y húmedo, y todos los participantes se sentían un poco insalubres, tenían dolor de cabeza, Etc. se sentaron en una mesa ubicada frente a las escaleras y comieron tranquilamente. De repente, el tiempo se detuvo.
La bulliciosa y concurrida cafetería, que albergaba a unas 80 personas, se convirtió en un lugar absolutamente tranquilo donde todo se congeló. Era como un fotograma de una película. Las personas estaban retorcidas en posturas extrañas, congeladas mientras realizaban movimientos. Sus cuerpos parecían cómicos y su posición parecía muy inestable.
Richard recordó una nube de vapor suspendida inmóvil en una configuración dinámica sobre la máquina Expresso. También recordó cómo la camarera sacaba las tortillas al rojo vivo del horno y las apoyaba en manos inmóviles.
En todo el café, solo cuatro de ellos parecían ilesos, por lo que tuvieron la oportunidad de observar lo que realmente sucedió.
En la parte superior de la escalera que conduce a la cafetería desde el nivel de la calle, apareció un hombre inusual. Medía unos 1,75 metros de estatura y tenía unos 19 años. Era Moreno, delgado, delgado, con piel de oliva y cabello ondulado negro. Su ropa parecía normal, pero se caracterizaba por su alto gusto y elegancia. Todo en él se veía sorprendentemente perfecto.
El hombre estaba rodeado por un hermoso resplandor blanco, especialmente alrededor de su cabeza y pecho. La luz parece no provenir de él, sino del aire que lo rodeaba. Bajó las escaleras sin mover las piernas. De hecho, flotaba en el aire un poco por encima del nivel de la escalera. Luego se acercó al mostrador y se puso de pie primero en la fila.
En ese momento, todo volvió a estar bien. La gente continuó sus acciones desde el momento en que fueron suspendidos en el tráfico. Todo parecía como si nada hubiera pasado.
El hombre compró un vaso de jugo de fruta y se sentó en la Última silla libre en la mesa para 12 personas. Reconoció con una sonrisa la atención de los testigos. Querían hablar con él y aprender más sobre su inusual llegada, pero no había acceso a su silla. Así que decidieron abandonar la cafetería y esperarlo arriba en la única salida.
Después de aproximadamente 5 minutos de espera y sin ver su pasaje, Richard bajó y descubrió que ya no estaba. No había otra salida de la cafetería. Luego, el grupo se sorprendió al descubrir que sus diversas enfermedades, como la gripe, las migrañas, etc., habían desaparecido.
Después de aproximadamente seis semanas, lo volvieron a ver. Estaba en la parte superior de las escaleras (en la misma cafetería) con la intención de entrar en la cafetería. Volvió la cabeza en su dirección como un saludo. Su ropa era la misma, excepto que esta vez estaba rodeado de un débil resplandor verde.
Cuando apareció, realmente no pasó nada. Bajó como la gente común (sus pasos eran algo más fáciles que los de la gente común), sin ser visto por nadie más que por testigos. Volvió a comprar un vaso de jugo de fruta y volvió a sentarse en el mismo lugar.
En varias ocasiones reconoció su atención con una mirada amistosa. Esta vez decidimos interrumpirlo y averiguar quién es. Querían levantarse y acercarse, pero ninguno de ellos podía moverse. Cuando finalmente lograron levantarse, aparentemente en contra de su voluntad, se dirigieron a la salida del café.
Pat intentó desesperadamente volverse hacia un extraño, pero sus esfuerzos no tuvieron éxito. Después de un tiempo, Pat decidió regresar a la cafetería, solo para descubrir que ya se había ido. No volvieron a salir con él.

“Richard Williams” and three of his friends, Pat S, Nancy T, and Ross K were having lunch together at a coffee bar called “Stewarts” located on the south side of Dunedin’s Octagon. On that day the weather was cold and damp and all of the participants were feeling a bit under the weather, with headaches, etc. They sat around the table located opposite the stairs and quietly ate their lunches. All of the sudden time stood still. The noisy and busy coffee bar occupied by about 80 people turned into an absolutely silent place where everything froze. It looked like a still frame from a movie film. People were twisted in strange positions, frozen whilst performing movements. Their bodies looked comic and their positions seemed to be very unstable. Richard remembered a cloud of steam suspended motionlessly in a dynamic configuration above the expreso machine. He also remembered a waitress pulling out burning hot cakes from the oven, and sustaining their heat in the motionless hands. In the whole café only the four of them seemed to remain non affected, thus having the occasion to observe what actually happened. At the top of the stairs that led down to the coffee bar from street level an unusual man appeared. He was about 1.75 meters high and looked about 19 years old. He was dark, slim, thin, with olive skin and black wavy hair. His clothes looked normal, but displayed high taste and elegance. Everything about him looked strikingly perfect. The man was surrounded by a beautiful white glow, especially around his head and chest. The light seemed to be emitted not from him, but from the air that surrounded him. He glided down the stairs without moving his legs. He actually floated in the air slightly above the level of the stairs. Then he moved to the counter and stood first in the queue. As soon as he got there, everything started to happen normally again. People continued their actions from the point when they were suspended in motion. Everything looked as though nothing had happened. The man bought a glass of fruit juice and sat at the last free chair left at a 12-person table. He acknowledged the witnesses attention with a smile. They wanted to talk to him and find out more about his unusual arrival but there was no access to his chair. So they decided to leave the coffee bar and wait for him upstairs at the only way out. After about 5 minutes waiting and not seeing him pass, Richard went down to find that he was gone. There was no other exit from the coffee bar. The group was then surprised to find that their various ailments, which included, flu, migraine, etc were gone. About six weeks later they spotted him again. He stood at the top of the stairs, (at the same coffee shop) intending to enter the café. He moved his head in their direction in a kind of greeting. His clothes were the same, except that this time he was surrounded by a faint green glow. When he appeared nothing actually happened. He walked down as normal people do (his steps somehow lighter than normal humans) unnoticed by anyone but the witnesses. He again bought a glass of fruit juice and again sat in the same place. A few times he acknowledged their attention by a friendly look. This time we decided to interrupt him and to find out who he was. They wanted to stand up and come closer, but none of them could move. When finally they managed to stand up, they directed themselves out of the coffee bar seemingly against their will. Pat desperately tried to turn back to the stranger but her efforts failed. After a while Pat decided to return back to the coffee bar, only to find out hat he had already gone. They never met him again.
