Los dos jóvenes, ambos de 17 años, observaron un círculo iluminado de objetos y cayeron en campos a un Cuarto de milla de distancia.
Junto con un tercer testigo menor, fueron al lugar, ubicado entre antiguas minas y vertederos de escoria, y vieron un objeto que se elevaba inmóvil frente a los árboles a unos 300 metros a su izquierda.
Parecía una placa invertida, con luces rojas y naranjas parpadeando alrededor del perímetro. La parte superior era roja y la parte inferior amarilla. Nada.
De repente, a unos 30 metros justo delante de ellos, dos figuras humanoides de unos 1,50 m de altura se encontraron moviéndose lenta y torpemente hacia los jóvenes. Brillantemente iluminados por una luz blanca, mantuvieron sus manos "pegadas al cuerpo" y sus piernas inmóviles mientras se deslizaban directamente sobre el Suelo suavemente a través del terreno accidentado. No se encontraron características.
Después de aproximadamente un minuto, los jóvenes, petrificados de miedo, "encontraron sus pies" y se retiraron apresuradamente a su casa, contándoles a sus padres lo que habían visto. Nadie les creyó.
Al día siguiente, los jóvenes regresaron al lugar. Aunque no pudieron encontrar ningún rastro en el área, pero encontraron tierra ennegrecida y hierba carbonizada en el lugar sobre el que flotaba el objeto. Dos meses después, cuando los investigadores inspeccionaron el lugar, el sitio ennegrecido aún era visible.

Two young people, both 17, watched an illuminated object circle and come down in some fields a quarter mile away. Together with a third younger witness, they went off to the site, located among old mineshafts and slag piles, and saw the object hovering motionless in front of a stand of trees some 300 meters to their left. It appeared as a plate upside down, with alternating red and orange lights blinking around the perimeter. The top was red and it was yellow underneath. There was no sound. Suddenly, at about 30 meters directly in front of them, two humanoid figures about 1.50 metes in height appeared, moving slowly and stiffly toward the young people. Brightly illuminated all over by a white light, they held their arms “glued to their bodies,” and their legs were motionless as they glided along just above the ground, smoothly over somewhat rough terrain. No features were discerned. After about one minute, the young people, petrified with fear, “found their legs” and beat a hasty retreat to their home, telling their parents what they had seen. No one believed them. Next day the young people went back to the site. While they could find no traces in the area covered by the figures, they did find the ground blackened and grass charred at the site over which the object had hovered. Two months later, when the investigators examined the site, the blackened area was still visible.
