Una noche, Laura se despertó y trató de mirar por la ventana de su habitación. Por lo general, podía ver las luces en la escalera de un edificio de apartamentos al otro lado de la calle, pero esa noche las luces no eran visibles. Había niebla por todas partes.
Laura limpió parte de la ventana porque tenía condensación. Luego notó que la luz en la escalera bloqueaba la figura: una bola redonda negra con una franja vertical alrededor del centro que sobresalía hacia afuera, simplemente flotando allí. Estaba al nivel de su ventana, mientras ella lo miraba, se movía hacia la derecha.
Salió corriendo de su habitación hacia la puerta del balcón para abrirla y verla mejor. Laura no sabe si abrió la puerta, aparentemente se encontró de pie en la sala de estar lejos de la puerta preguntándose qué pasó. Ella entró de inmediato y revisó a su hijo. Se dio cuenta de que estaba amaneciendo, y se preguntó a dónde había ido el tiempo: era un retiro de un minuto y el amanecer al siguiente.

Summary: Laura woke up one night and attempted to look out her bedroom window. She could usually notice lights on the stairwell of the block of flats across the road, but this night the lights were not visible. There was mist everywhere. Laura wiped a section of the window, as there was condensation on it. She then noticed that a figure was blocking the stairwell lights, a round black ball shape with a vertical band around the center, which protruded out, just hovering there. It was level with her window view, as she looked at it, it moved off to the right. She ran out of her room to the balcony door to open it and get a better look. Laura doesn’t know if she opened the door, apparently she found herself standing in the lounge-room away from the door and wondered what had happened. She immediately went in and checked on her son. She noticed dawn was breaking and wondered where the time had gone; it was pitch back one minute and dawn the next. The next day someone mentioned to her that she had five small evenly spaced holes between her eyes; it took three days for them to go away. After they went away she woke up one day with four evenly spaced holes between her eyes in a square formation. Since this event took place she is having instances of possibly getting out of bed, getting dressed and going places during the night, but doesn’t know for sure.
