En el distrito rural de Apache, varias personas vivían en una casa rural cerca de Concho y se sentaban en la mesa de la cocina cuando uno de los hombres se asomó por detrás de la mesa de la cocina y, junto con otra mujer, vio una brillante franja de Ovnis que aparentemente se estrelló.
Los testigos dijeron que el objeto había dejado un rastro de fuego. Saltaron al Jeep y corrieron en busca del objeto estrellado. Cruzaron la carretera estatal 61 y condujeron por un antiguo sendero de ganado y pronto se encontraron con una pareja de ancianos que estacionó su camioneta blanca al costado de la carretera, ambos parados afuera mirando a los campos. Preguntaron a los testigos si habían visto el accidente del OVNI y les dijeron que iban a tratar de encontrarlos.
La pareja de ancianos estaba conduciendo hacia el oeste por la autopista 61 hacia Shaw Lowe cuando vio que el objeto pasaba volando y parecía estrellarse. Luego, los testigos se dirigieron al lugar donde aparentemente se estrelló el objeto. Había pocos árboles en esta área, algunos cedros y enebros dispersos, y también había muchos acantilados y cañones.
Después de aproximadamente una hora de viaje, llegaron a un cañón muy profundo y ya no podían conducir. En lo profundo de este cañón, un OVNI se estrelló. Era un objeto oblongo en forma de huevo. El color era extraño : era el color de la piel caucásica con un bronceado opaco y brillaba débilmente.
El brillo fue suficiente para iluminar el fondo del cañón. En frente del objeto había dos "columnas" (a falta de una palabra mejor). Estos postes podrían colocarse a ambos lados de la puerta, aunque la puerta no era visible. Era del Tamaño de un cobertizo. Curiosamente, los testigos también vieron un helicóptero y una camioneta negra en la escena.
Estaban confundidos acerca de cómo el camión podría descender tan rápido a un cañón remoto, a menos que hubiera un camino que realmente conocieran. Vieron la escena por un tiempo, luego se fueron.
Al parecer, ninguno de los testigos regresó al lugar del supuesto accidente.

In rural Apache County several people were staying at a rural home near Concho and were sitting around the kitchen table when one of the men looked out the kitchen table and saw along with another woman a bright UFO streak by, apparently crashing. The witnesses said that the object left a wake of fire. They jumped into a jeep raced off in search for the crashed object. They crossed State Highway 61 and drove along an old cattle trail and soon came upon an elderly couple that had parked their white van on the side of the road, both were outside staring into the fields. They asked the witnesses if they had seen a UFO crash and they told them they were going to try to find them. The elderly couple had been driving westerly along Highway 61 toward Show Low when they saw the object streak by and appear to crash. The witnesses then drove to the area where the object had apparently crashed. This area had few trees, some scattered cedar and junipers and a lot of rock and canyons. After about an hour of driving they arrived at a very deep canyon and could drive no further. Deep in this canyon was the crashed UFO. It was an oblong, egg shape object. The color was strange—it was the color of Caucasian skin with a fading tan and it faintly glowed. The glow was sufficiently enough to illuminate the bottom of the canyon. There were two “pillars” (for lack of a better word) at the front of the object. These pillars may have been posted on either side of a door—although a doorway was not visible. It was about the size of a barn. Oddly the witnesses also saw a helicopter on the scene and a black pick up. They were baffled as to how the truck could have gotten down the remote canyon so quickly, unless there was some road that they did know about. They watched the scene for a while then left. Apparently none of the witnesses ever returned to the site of the alleged crash.
