Sue y Sarah condujeron por Hunker Road, subiendo una colina empinada hasta King Salomón Dome, un hermoso lugar desde donde se puede ver a muchas millas de la cuenca entre los ríos Klondike e India (punto "A", figuras 6 y 7). Está por encima de la línea de árboles, por lo que la vista es sin obstrucciones.
Al acercarse a la cima, de repente cruzaron la cresta a la izquierda y al frente en el cielo vieron una vista realmente extraña. ¡No podían creer sus ojos! Un "algo"gigante en forma de cigarro colgaba en el cielo. Tenía una serie de ventanas rectangulares y se sentaba allí inmóvil y en un ligero ángulo. Sue miró su reloj y recuerda que la hora era la 1:50 de la noche, sin embargo, también notó que su reloj se había detenido.
Su urgencia de ir a casa se intensificó significativamente y estaban a solo 30 minutos en coche. Cruzaron la cima plana y siguieron la cresta hacia el oeste.
Cuando llegaron al punto "B", no recuerdan haber visto dónde estaba el OVNI. Tal vez estaba cerrado por una cresta en el sur, tal vez estaba detrás de ellos, y tal vez simplemente "no lo recuerdan".
Realmente recuerdan haber conducido por Quartz Road hacia el sur para comenzar el descenso al valle del río Indiana. Ahora podían ver muchos más detalles en el aparato, y estaba casi justo en frente de ellos.
Vieron un enjambre de pequeños "barcos" zumbando alrededor de lo que habían reunido para ser la parte delantera de una instalación que antes no estaba allí. Era el final, ligeramente inclinado hacia el cielo. ¡Estas pequeñas naves parecían luces de niebla brillantes, eran de 12 a 13 cuando intentaban contarlas y entraban y salían de un gran objeto en forma de cigarro! Su pensamiento era "¡tenemos que ir a casa!"Tal vez puedan convencer al hijo de sue para que confirme el increíble espectáculo del que fueron testigos.

Condujeron por un empinado descenso por Quartz Road hacia el valle y perdieron de vista los objetos detrás de una colina en el lado izquierdo (este) de Quartz Creek. Cuando llegaron al punto "D", Quartz Creek Valley se abrió y volvieron a ver el objeto.
Los " pequeños barcos "desaparecieron, obviamente" se escondieron", pero no podían creer lo cerca que estaba esta cosa. Estaba delante de ellos y parecía flotar sobre su mina de oro (fig. 11), a solo 3 km de ellos. Ahora estaban cerca de la casa (punto "D") y podían moverse más rápido en el fondo plano de Quartz Creek Road. Pasaron la dispersión a su derecha, y los trabajadores de afuera no parecían notar el OVNI. Pensaron en conducir y alertar al equipo de trabajo, pero el hijo de sue se sintió atraído por mucho más.
Los dibujos de sue y Sarah que representan la desaparición de los Ovnis detrás de la montaña se hicieron de forma independiente.
Llegaron al punto " E " y se sorprendieron al ver que esta cosa iba más allá del Monte Heistack, que estaba a 12 km de ellos al otro lado del río Indio.
Ahora que había una montaña frente a él, la conciencia del enorme Tamaño del objeto era casi increíble. Hasta ahora, pensaban que era el río más alejado de la India, pero ahora se han dado cuenta de que está mucho más lejos. ¡Esa cosa era enorme! Su ángulo de inclinación también aumentó a medida que continuó descendiendo más allá de la montaña. Esperaban que volara hacia el cielo en cualquier segundo, hacia arriba y hacia la izquierda, ya que lo percibían como la proa de la nave. Para su sorpresa, esta cosa continuó descendiendo en el mismo ángulo detrás de la montaña.
Cuando llegaron al punto "F", a menos de un minuto de su casa en el punto "G", se decepcionaron al ver que la Última parte restante de la "nave nodriza" descendía más allá de Haystack Mountain.
"¿Cómo podría encajar esta cosa detrás de una montaña de heno si no se hubiera ido al barro?", pensaron.
Ellos, con un rugido, salieron al camino de entrada, emitiendo un pitido. Su hijo salió corriendo, las hermanas saltaron del auto e intentaron recoger las palabras para describir este gran evento. Estaban fuera de sí mismos. Su hijo logró decir brevemente algunas palabras.
"¡Dónde has estado, son las 3:30 de la mañana!", dijo.
Al parecer, las hermanas se perdieron dos horas de viaje.
Descargando lentamente su automóvil, continuaron observando la montaña durante unos buenos 20 minutos o media hora, pero no vieron nada más inusual.
Al día siguiente, visitaron una operación de placer que habían tenido durante la observación de Ovnis y hablaron con el cocinero. Ella no escuchó a nadie en el campamento hablar de ver algo fuera de lo común en el Desayuno. Seguramente las hermanas pensaron que sería el tema de una animada discusión durante el Desayuno.
El cocinero se mostró escéptico con las hermanas, por lo que inmediatamente las dividió y obligó a cada una a dibujar lo que habían visto. Ella se sorprendió al ver que sus dibujos coincidían. Aunque estos dibujos originales ya no están disponibles, esta persona fue entrevistada posteriormente y confirmó el hecho de que los dibujos eran similares. Los dibujos fueron en gran medida los mismos que en la Figura 12, que se dibujaron el 8 de marzo de 2000.

Sue and Sarah were travelling on the Hunker Road driving up a steep hill towards King Solomon Dome, a beautiful spot where one can see for miles from the divide between the Klondike and Indian Rivers (Point “A”, Figures 6 and 7). It is above the treeline so the views are unobstructed. As they were nearing the summit, suddenly over the ridge to their left and ahead of them in the sky they spotted a strange sight indeed! They could not believe their eyes! Suspended in the sky was a giant cigar-shaped, “something”. It had a row of rectangular windows and was sitting there motionless and at a slight angle (Figures 8 and 9). Sue looked at her watch, and recalls that the time read 1:50 am, however she also noted that her watch had stopped.
Their urgency to get home had been considerably reinforced and they were only about 30 minutes away. They went over the flat summit and followed the ridgeline to the west.
When they arrived at point “B” they don’t recall seeing where the UFO was. Perhaps it was obscured by the ridgeline to the south, perhaps it was behind them, or perhaps they simply “don’t remember”.
They do recall traveling down the Quartz Road to the south to start their descent into the Indian River Valley (Point C, Figures 6 and 7). They could see much more detail in the craft now and it was almost directly ahead of them. They noted a swarm of small “ships” buzzing around what they gathered to be the front of the object that were not there previously. The front they assumed was the end slightly tilted towards the sky. These small ships appeared as bright hazy lights, 12 to 13 in number as they did attempt to count them, and they were going in and out of the big cigar-shaped thing! (Figure 10). Their thought was “we have to get home!”. Perhaps they could get Sue’s son to verify the unbelievable sight they were witnessing.

They drove down the steep descent along Quartz Road into the valley and lost sight of the objects behind a hill on their left (east) side of Quartz Creek. When they got to point “D”, the Quartz Creek Valley opened up and they saw the object again. The “little ships” were gone, apparently they had “tucked themselves away” but they couldn’t believe how close this thing appeared to be. It was ahead of them and appeared to be suspended right over their gold claim (Figure 11), only about 3 km away. They were not far from home now (point “D”) and were able to travel more quickly along the flat bottom of Quartz Creek Road. They passed a placer mining operation on their right with the workers outside seeming oblivious to the UFO. They thought about pulling in and alerting the work crew but the draw to Sue’s son was much greater.

They reached point “E” and they were astounded to see this thing start to go behind Haystack Mountain, which was 12 km away from them on the other side of the Indian River! (Figures 12 and 13) With the mountain in front of it now, the realization of the enormity of the object was almost unbelievable. Up to now they thought it was over the Indian River at the furthest but now they realized it was much more distant. This thing was huge! Its angle of tilt had also increased as it continued to descend behind Haystack Mountain. They were expecting it to shoot off into the sky any second now, up and to the left, as they perceived that to be the front of the craft. To their astonishment this thing continued to descend at the same angle behind Haystack Mountain.
When they reached point “F”, less than a minute from their home at point “G” they were frustrated to see the last remaining portion of the “mothership” descend behind Haystack Mountain (Figure 14). “How could this thing fit behind Haystack unless it went into the dirt” was their thought. They came roaring into their driveway honking their horn. Their son came running out, the sisters jumped out of the car and tried to look for words to describe the awesome event. They were beside themselves. Their son managed to get in a few words in edge wise. “Where have you been, it is 3:30 in the morning!” he said. Apparently the sisters were missing 2 hours from their journey.
As they slowly unloaded their vehicle, they continued to watch Haystack Mountain for a good 20 minutes to half an hour but saw nothing more unusual.
The next day they visited the placer operation that they passed by during their UFO sighting and spoke with the cook. She had not heard anybody in the camp speak about seeing anything unusual at breakfast. Surely, the sisters thought that it would have been the subject of a lively discussion around the breakfast table. The cook was skeptical of the sisters so immediately separated them and had them each draw what they had seen. She was flabbergasted to see that their drawings matched. Although these original drawing are no longer available, this person was subsequently interviewed and confirmed the fact that the drawings were similar. The drawings were much the same as the ones depicted in Figure 12 that were drawn on March 8, 2000.
