Este es el primero de una serie de informes de avistamientos que son el resultado de los contactos establecidos en la conferencia OVNI de Yukon, celebrada el 14 de octubre de 2000. Minutos después de que Don Trudeau pronunció un discurso inspirador sobre la observación de un OVNI Gigante, un joven se me acercó un hombre y me dijo que le gustaría informar sobre su observación de Ovnis. Me dio una breve descripción e información de contacto. Estaba satisfecho con su deseo de informar el incidente y lo contacté el próximo fin de semana. Impresionó su capacidad para describir en detalle el Tamaño, la forma, la inclinación y el movimiento del objeto.
Era un fin de semana (viernes o sábado) en algún momento de enero de 1997. Dos hermanos de 11 y 13 años estaban sentados en su sala de estar. Eran alrededor de las 11 de la noche y esperaban la llegada de sus padres. Su casa está ubicada en una franja verde orientada al oeste en el distrito de Crestview. La sala de estar tiene un techo abovedado con ventanas que dan a un cinturón verde, tanto justo por encima del nivel del piso como en la parte abovedada de la casa. El hermano mayor estaba sentado en el Sofá más cercano a la ventana, mientras que el más joven estaba en el extremo opuesto de la sala de estar, lejos de las ventanas.
Mientras veía televisión, algo llamó la atención de un joven caballero. A través de una ventana más alta en la parte superior del techo abovedado, notó un objeto luminoso. Se sorprendió al ver una forma de cigarro naranja con un centro amarillo, como se muestra en su imagen a continuación. Los bordes estaban claramente delineados y un suave brillo naranja emanaba alrededor del objeto. Estaba asombrado y, al mismo tiempo, tenía miedo de decirle algo a su hermano mayor, que estaba viendo la televisión a solo unos metros de distancia.
"Pensé que mis ojos me estaban engañando", dijo.
El objeto parecía moverse ligeramente hacia adelante y hacia atrás muy suavemente, como se muestra en la imagen de abajo. Estimó su período de oscilación en aproximadamente 3-4 segundos.
"Fue bastante espeluznante", comentó el joven.
Finalmente, después de unos 20 minutos de entumecimiento, llamó a su hermano. Su hermano lo miró a través de la ventana junto a su Sofá y también lo vio. Ambos niños lo observaron durante otros 5 minutos, después de lo cual el OVNI redujo su Altitud y voló muy rápidamente por el valle detrás de los árboles detrás de su casa.
El objeto caminaba por el valle hacia el Norte, y los niños perdieron su lugar más allá del borde de otra ventana en la esquina noroeste de su casa. Cuando el OVNI se zambulló por el valle, los niños notaron que iluminaba los árboles con luz naranja.
Por separado, entrevistaron a su hermano mayor, quien dijo que el objeto había estado "flotando, zumbando"por un tiempo. Tenía un aspecto metálico y brillaba con una luz naranja-amarilla. Al salir, el objeto rápidamente hizo un semicírculo y se fue hacia arriba y más allá de la montaña hacia el noroeste, directamente sobre las copas de los árboles detrás de su casa.
Hablé con mi padre y él agregó que sus hijos estaban muy emocionados cuando ellos (los padres) llegaron a casa esa noche. Poco después de la observación, el niño más joven junto con su amigo formaron un Club que explora lo paranormal. Desde entonces, este tema le ha fascinado.
Información técnica:
Cuando fue descubierto por primera vez por su hermano menor, el OVNI estaba a unos 40 grados sobre el horizonte y se dirigió hacia el oeste (acimut 270 grados). Los niños perdieron los Ovnis de vista alrededor del acimut 320 (noroeste) y bajo sobre el horizonte. Para el hermano menor, el objeto parecía tener aproximadamente la mitad de la longitud de un lápiz a la distancia del brazo, o al menos un poco más largo que el diámetro de la Luna llena. El hermano mayor del OVNI parecía tener aproximadamente la mitad del diámetro de la Luna llena. ¿Esto podría indicar que el OVNI estaba más cerca cuando solo el hermano menor estaba siendo observado, o tal vez podría deberse a diferencias en sus percepciones? El niño más joven también mencionó que su hermano también notó un brillo azul que no notó.
El hermano menor notó que la mayoría de las veces el objeto parecía inclinado a unos 15 grados de la horizontal, inclinándose hacia arriba de izquierda a derecha.

Introduction
This is the first of a series of sighting reports that are a result of the contacts made at the Yukon UFO Conference that was held on October 14, 2000. Minutes after Don Trudeau made his inspirational talk about his sighting of a Giant UFO, a young man came up to me and said that he would like to report his UFO sighting. He gave me a brief synopsis and contact information. I was pleased by his eagerness to report the incident and made contact with him the following weekend. Impressive was his ability to describe in great detail, the size, shape, inclination and motion of the object.
The Account
It was a weekend (on a Friday or Saturday) sometime in January of 1997. Two brothers age 11 and 13 were sitting in their living room. It was about 11 at night and they were awaiting the arrival of their parents. Their house is situated on a green belt facing west in Crestview Subdivision. The living room has a vaulted ceiling with windows facing the green belt, both just above floor level as well as in the vaulted portion of the house. The older brother was on the sofa closest to the window and the younger brother was on the opposite end of the living room, further from the windows.
While watching television, something caught the attention out of the corner of the younger gentleman’s eye. Through the higher window near the top of the vaulted ceiling he noticed a glowing object. He was shocked to see an orange cigar shape with a yellow centre as depicted by his drawing below. The edges were well defined and there was a soft orange glow emanating around the object. He was in awe and at the same time terrified to say anything to his older brother who was watching television just metres away. “I thought my eyes were playing tricks at me”, he said.
The object appeared to be moving slightly, back and forth with a very fluid type manner as depicted in the figure below. Its period of oscillation he estimated to be about 3 to 4 seconds. “It was pretty creepy” the young man remarked. Finally after about 20 minutes of being petrified he called out to his brother. His brother looked up at it through the window next to his sofa and saw it as well. Both boys watched it for another 5 minutes after which the UFO decreased its elevation and flew very quickly down through the valley in behind the trees at the back of their house. The object followed the valley to the north and the boys lost site of it past the edge of another window in the northwest corner of their house. As the UFO dove down through the valley the boys noted that it illuminated the trees with orange light.
The older brother was interviewed separately and stated that the object “hovered around, buzzed around” for a while. It was metallic looking and glowing orange-yellow. On its departure the object did a fast half circle and went up and behind the mountain towards the northwest, just over the top of the trees behind their house.
I spoke with the father, and he added that his sons were sure excited when they (the parents) got home that night. Shortly after the sighting the younger boy along with a friend of his formed a club that investigates paranormal phenomenon. The subject has fascinated him ever since.
Technical information:
When first sited by the younger brother, the UFO was about 40 degrees above the horizon and due west (Azimuth 270 degrees). The boys lost sight of the UFO at about Azimuth 320 (northwest) and low on the horizon. To the younger brother the object appeared to be about half the length of a pencil at arms length distance or at the very least slightly longer than the diameter of a full moon. To the older brother, the UFO appeared to be about half the diameter of a full moon. This may indicate that the UFO was closer when only the younger brother was watching, or perhaps may be attributable to their perception differences? The younger boy also mentioned that his brother also noticed a blue glow that he did not.
The younger brother remarked that much of the time the object appeared to be inclined by about 15 degrees from horizontal, sloping up left to right.
