Yo (junto con 50-100 personas) fui testigo de un importante avistamiento de Ovnis en Lausana, Suiza, en 1997, y eso todavía me sorprende. Lo más sorprendente es que no puedo encontrar ninguna referencia a esto en línea y, por lo tanto, le escribo con la esperanza de que pueda investigarlo.
Era 1997, y ese año estaba en la escuela de posgrado en una Institución de renombre mundial en Lausana. Soy de Asia y desde entonces he vuelto a vivir en Asia, este fue solo el año que pasé en Lausana. Fue en la segunda mitad del año, probablemente en agosto o septiembre. Era un sábado por la noche y se fue con amigos en un barrio de Lausana. Luego salí de esa parte de Lausana y fui a otra parte de Lausana, donde me reuní con otros amigos.
De repente, vi a cientos de personas saliendo de sus restaurantes y mirando al cielo. Estaba cerca de la orilla del lago de Ginebra, en una zona prestigiosa con restaurantes elegantes. Todos los testigos de esto fueron personas urbanas, educadas y acomodadas.
Miré hacia el cielo y vi en algún lugar entre 15 y 20 luces flotando en el cielo. Estaban bastante bajos en el cielo y, por lo tanto, eran claramente visibles, lo que significa que no había lugar a dudas de que tal vez los ojos estaban jugando con nosotros, etc. porque estaban inmóviles y no hacían ningún sonido. Como mencioné, fue tan único que las personas que cenaron allí en muchos restaurantes salieron de sus restaurantes a mitad de camino para presenciarlo.
Después de unos minutos, las luces subieron al cielo muy rápido y desaparecieron en la misma construcción, perfectamente sincronizadas. Yo mismo soy una persona bien educada en la alta dirección y no tiendo a creer en fenómenos inexplicables. Este fue un incidente obvio con un objeto volador no identificado, sin lugar a dudas.
Desafortunadamente, ninguno de mis amigos estaba allí. Esperaba que lo reportaran en los periódicos al día siguiente. Pero todos los periódicos estaban en francés, y yo no sé francés en absoluto. Le pregunté a algunos de mis amigos que sabían francés si se mencionaba algo en los periódicos y dijeron que no. Por supuesto, en esos días, Internet solo estaba naciendo.
Durante años, de vez en cuando, busco en Internet si se destacó en algún lugar, especialmente en sitios especializados dedicados a Ovnis como el suyo, pero para mi sorpresa no encontré nada. Espero que tengan asistentes en Lausana, Suiza, que puedan hablar con los lugareños y averiguarlo.
Ocurrió en un área llamada Ushi, justo en la orilla del lago. Hay muchos restaurantes en la avenida William Fraze, justo al lado del Movenpick hotel.

I (together with 50-100 people) had witnessed a major UFO sighting in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1997, and it still mystifies me to this date. What is most surprising is that I am unable to find any reference to it on the internet and so am writing to you in the hope that you would be able to investigate.
The year was 1997 and I was doing my postgraduate studies in an internationally acclaimed institution in Lausanne that year. I am from Asia ans have since gone back to live in Asia, it was only that year that I was spending in Lausanne. It was in the later half of the year probably in Aug or Sept. It was a Saturday night, and had gone out in one part of Lausanne with some friends. I then left that part of Lausanne and was walking to another part of Lausanne where I was meeting some other friends.
Suddenly, I saw hundreds of people who had stepped out of their restaurants and looking in the sky. This was near the Lake Geneva shore and the area was an upmarket one with classy restaurants. The people witnessing this were all urban, well educated and well-off people. I looked up in the sky and saw somewhere between 15 – 20 lights hovering in the sky. They were fairly low in the sky and hence could be seen clearly, ie no room for doubt on maybe eyes playing game on us etc. The closest one could think of the lights was a formation of military aircrafts, but they couldn’t be aircrafts because they were just stationary and making no sound. As I mentioned, it was so unique that people eating in many restaurants there had all come out of their restaurants half way through their meal to witness this. After a few mins, the lights moved up into the sky very quickly and disappeared in the same formation, perfectly synchronised. I myself am a well educated person in senior management, and not one prone to believing in unexplained phenomena. This was a very clear incident of unidentified flying object with no room for doubt.
Unfortunately, none of my friends were there. I expected this to be reported in the newspapers next day. But the newspapers were all in French and I don’t know French at all. I asked some of my friends who knew French whether anything was mentioned in the newspapers, and they said no. Those days of course, the internet was just in its infancy.
For years now, every now and then, I search the internet to see if this has been highlighted anywhere, especially in specialist ufo sites like yours, but surprise not to find anything. I am hoping you have associates in Lausanne, Switzerland who are able to talk to the locals there and find out. This took place in an area called Ouchy, that is just by the lakeside. There are a clutch of restaurants on Avenue William Fraise very close to the Movenpick Hotel.
