El 1 de septiembre de 2015, un testigo cerca de Springdale, ubicado a unas 18 millas al noreste de Pittsburgh, vio una luz blanca muy brillante en el oeste esa noche.
A medida que la luz se acercaba, se escuchó un sonido inusualmente fuerte, no como el de un avión a reacción o de hélice. Cuando el objeto voló bajo sobre su cabeza, resultó ser enorme y no pertenecía a ningún tipo de avión con el que el testigo estuviera familiarizado.
El observador miró la base del objeto sólido en forma de Boomerang, que tenía focos blancos tenues distribuidos uniformemente, que no parpadeaban a lo largo del borde de la parte inferior del objeto. La parte inferior del objeto tenía un tinte verdoso.
El objeto se movió hacia el este, luego se inclinó hacia el sur y desapareció de la vista.

Summary: On September 1, 2015, a witness near Springdale located about 18 miles NE of Pittsburgh observed a very bright white light toward the west that evening. As the light got closer, an unusual loud sound was heard unlike that of jet or propeller aircraft. As the object passed low overhead, it appeared to be huge and was not any type of aircraft the witness was familiar with. The observer looked up at the bottom of a solid boomerang shaped object that had evenly spaced dim white spotlights that were all non-blinking along the edge of the underside of the object. The underbelly of the object had a greenish tinge. The object moved toward the east, then banked to the south and moved out of sight.
