A primera hora de la mañana, el hombre miró por la ventana de su sala de estar y notó un objeto amarillo en forma de platillo ubicado a varios grados sobre el horizonte. En primer plano había una farola. Eran alrededor de las 4 de la mañana, el cielo estaba nublado. Estimó el Tamaño del artículo en aproximadamente la mitad del cigarrillo que tenía a la distancia del brazo.
También dijo que en algún momento, la luz parpadeó durante medio segundo más o menos y luego volvió a aparecer. Poco después, el objeto desapareció de la vista.
Cuando le contó a su novia sobre su apariencia al día siguiente, ella dijo que debía haber sido la Aurora boreal. Respondió diciendo que el OVNI estaba en la parte sur del cielo, y la Aurora boreal se ve comúnmente en el cielo del Norte.

In the early hours of the morning, a man looked out through his living room window and noticed a yellow, saucer-shaped object a few degrees above the horizon. In the foreground stood a street light. The time was approximately 4:00 a.m. and the sky was overcast. He estimated the size of the object to be about half a cigarette held at arm's length. He also said that at one point, the light blinked out for half a second or so, then reappeared. Soon after, the object disappeared from view.
When he told his girlfriend about his sighting the next day, she said it must have been the northern lights. He responded by saying that the UFO was in the southern part of the sky and the northern lights usually occur in the northern sky.
