Noticias originales
Bigfoot enthusiasts are claiming to have found the elusive beast in the middle of Arkansas, after odd-looking footprints measuring 16 inches long were found pressed into mud.
Dad-of-two Chase Whaley said in the Bigfoot Believers Facebook group, which boasts more than 133,000 followers, that he believes he has evidence of the elusive beast in Pike County, Arkansas.
Photos he shared revealed several footprints nearly twice the size of his own feet.
He joked: “We either got us a bigfoot or a shoeless meth head down at the dump. Either way he's a biggen.”
The dad said that he found the footprints to the west of the tiny town, which has a population of less than 1,500.
The mythical creature has been in the public consciousness for centuries, and sighting stories have cropped up across North America.
Even former president Teddy Roosevelt appeared to believe in the massive beast, writing in his book “The Wilderness Hunter” that he heard stories of huge, hairy bipedal figures attacking and killing human beings after stealing their catch.
While the search for the creature, or creatures, has been ongoing for centuries, believers have found themselves at odds with the rest of the world.
One hunter bizarrely blamed AI-fuelled hoaxes for getting in the way of searches for Bigfoot.
