El hallazgo ocurrió alrededor de las 13:00 horas del 12 de octubre de 2013, cuando un testigo observó un objeto en forma de disco que volaba desde el noreste y se movía sobre él.
"El objeto no hizo ningún sonido", declaró el testigo. "No había rastro de él. No había alas visibles".
Un testigo subió un video de 22 segundos capturado con la cámara del Teléfono, con un informe que se envió a MUFON (no publicado) el 12 de octubre de 2013.
"El disco se movió de suroeste a noreste más allá del horizonte occidental. Poco después, otro objeto del mismo Tamaño y forma, sin alas, sin rastro, sin sonido, voló desde el este (Binghamton, nueva York) hacia el noroeste, sin embargo más alto en el cielo que el primer objeto. Después de ver miles de vuelos sobre el área en los últimos 30 años, nunca antes había visto algo así".
