El testigo principal, junto con otras dos personas, estaba explorando un pozo de arena de 60 acres cuando vieron una luz extremadamente brillante. Al principio estaban asustados, pero decidieron que investigarían.
Continuaron caminando hacia la luz hasta que los llevó a un sitio de foso rodeado de árboles gruesos con un pequeño agujero en el medio. En ese momento, vieron una gran criatura recta de aproximadamente 8 pies (2,4 m) de altura, cubierta de pelo y con penetrantes ojos azules helados.
"Congelados" por el miedo, se quedaron inmóviles hasta que la criatura los notó y corrió hacia los árboles. Después, los testigos abandonaron la zona.

The main witness along with two other individuals was exploring a 60 acre sand pit when they saw an extremely bright light. They were terrified at first but decided that they would investigate. They continued walking toward the light until it led them to a section of the pit enclosed by thick trees with a small opening in the middle. At this point they saw a large upright being approximately 8 feet tall, covered with hair and with piercing ice blue eyes. Frozen with fear they stood still as possible until the creature noticed them and bolted into the trees. The witnesses then left the area.
