Datos iniciales
Un hombre (VT), su hija adolescente y su amiga se dirigían a una carretera rural cerca de Dowling para recoger a un segundo amigo. Ella les señaló a un objeto redondo brillante, inmóvil sobre una línea de árboles en el oeste; ella lo observó durante 20 minutos.
Los cuatro se acercaron al letrero de "Stop" cerca de la casa de la niña y observaron el objeto durante un par de minutos, pero no hubo movimiento. Se dirigieron a la casa de un tercer amigo. Las chicas miraron por la ventana trasera y vieron que un objeto les seguía.
Continuaron su camino a medida que el objeto volaba muy bajo sobre su cabeza (100 pies). El cuerpo del objeto no era visible, pero las luces rojas estaban encendidas por detrás y por los lados, las luces verdes parpadeaban.
Se dirigieron a la autopista 144, la instalación estaba un poco por delante de ellos. El conductor se desvió de la carretera 144 a otra ruta rural y se dirigió a la granja. Las chicas salieron y fueron al granero, donde observaron el objeto que se dirigía a Chelmsford. Luego, el hombre regresó a la autopista 144 y se dirigió hacia Dowling. Estaba oscuro afuera. Se fue a la acera, se detuvo, apagó las luces y el motor, salió y escuchó, pero sin sonido. El OVNI todavía era visible. Siguió poniéndolo al día. Y cuando se desvió hacia otra carretera, el objeto giró y se mantuvo un poco adelante y a la derecha del automóvil. Hizo dos giros más de 90 °, luego voló en paralelo a una velocidad de 40 a 65 mph. No hubo movimientos desordenados. El conductor entró en el camino de entrada, salió y escuchó ... todavía sin ruido. Dijo:
"Hizo un giro a la izquierda paralelo cuando giré a la izquierda en mi camino de entrada. Entré a la casa para que mi hijo mirara por la ventana de arriba, pero no podía verlo debido a los árboles. Lo vislumbré y volvió a brillar".
Esta persona recuerda haber informado avistamientos de Ovnis en Michigan en ese momento y un posible avistamiento en Sudbury.

A man (VT), his teenage daughter and a friend of hers were heading over to a rural route near Dowling to pick up a second friend. She pointed out to them a bright circular object which was stationary above the tree line to the west; she had been watching it for 20 minutes. The foursome drove to a stop sign near the girl's home, and watched the object for a couple of minutes, but there was no movement. They proceeded down the road to a third friend's home. The girls looked out the back window and saw the object following them. They continued on as the object passed very low overhead (100 feet). The object's body could not be seen, but it had a red light in the rear and on each side, green lights that flickered. They proceeded onto Hwy 144 with the object slightly in front of them. The driver turned off Hwy 144 onto another rural route, and went to a farm. The girls got out and went behind the barn where they watched the object as it headed for Chelmsford. Then the man proceeded back to Hwy 144 and headed towards Dowling. The object turned around and started following the vehicle on the passenger side. The driver decided to turn off Hwy 144 onto a rural route. The object also turned and followed parallel to his right. It was very low, maybe a couple hundred feet. The man turned onto another road and the object turned again and passed him.
It was dark out. He pulled to the side of the road, stopped, switched his lights and motor off, got out and listened, but no sound. The UFO was still visible. He proceeded to catch up to it. And as he turned onto another road, the object would turn and stayed slightly in front and to the right of the vehicle. It went around another two 90° turns, then flew parallel at speeds between 40 and 65 mph. There were no erratic movements. The driver drove into his driveway, got out and listened...still no noise. He said: 'It made a parallel left turn when I turned left into my driveway. I went into the house to get my son to look out the upstairs window, but he could not see it because of the trees. I caught a glimpse of it, and it had changed back to a bright light.'
The man remembers that at the time, UFO sightings were being reported in Michigan and one possible sighting in Sudbury.
