Cerca de esta ciudad fue fotografiado "jongari" (monstruo de jongari). Dos lugareños notaron un extraño animal parecido a un oso que algunos aborígenes asocian con las leyendas de las pequeñas personas peludas que habitaban el continente antes de que los europeos se asentaran en él, y tomaron dos fotos borrosas de una figura distante en un bosque de árboles. Otros testigos describieron al animal de 3 pies de altura (0,9 m) y bípedo. (No hay osos nativos en Australia).

Two local men spotted a strange bear-like animal, which some aboriginal people associate with legends of small, hairy people who inhabited the continent before Europeans settled there, and snapped two blurry pictures of a distant figure in a tree grove. Other witnesses have described the animal as 3 ft high and bipedal. (There are no native bears in Australia).
