Last week, residents of La Habra, Los Angeles reportedly saw “lots of lights” before noticing a 20ft by 80ft sinkhole had appeared outside of their homes.
Many residents believe they heard sounds as well as seeing the lights, though some eyewitnesses have compared them to that of an earthquake.
Speaking to CBS news, La Habra resident Reina Menchaca said: “My significant other said she saw a lot of lights with the sound.The mayor of the town, who has lived there for over 50-years, reported that he has never seen anything like it before.
Around the same time, a sinkhole appeared in a village in Chile which swallowed an entire house along with nine animals.
In an interview, the rancher in Chile said he "fled his house when he felt rumbles" throughout, fearing the house was falling apart.
Conspiracy theorist Tyler Glockner uploaded footage of both events to his YouTube channel secureteam10 – where it has been seen more than 360,000 times.
