Initial data
About 200 people watched a huge triangular-shaped UFO flying overhead in different places along the coast of South Wales. They include a school class and a football team.
In Swansea, two detectives, detective Mike Troke and PC Gethen Humphries, saw the object glide overhead in complete silence. Sergeant Troak said:
"I was used to seeing planes in the sky, but they were huge - much bigger than a plane. At the front was a large group of lights, somewhat resembling a Zeppelin, followed by a group of triangular-shaped lights. They moved gracefully across the sky at an altitude of about 1,000 feet."
Fearing ridicule, none of the officers reported the incident to their colleagues.
