July 4, 1947 – Frank Ryman, of the marine guard of the United States from Seattle, Washington, took a photo of a flying disk.
Three days later, a similar object was captured by William Rhoads. But, Rhoads photo printed in the local paper upside down! Presumably, this is one of the first, and possibly the very first picture of a "flying disk".
