On July 28, 1998, while in the army, at 01:00, 5 km from the town of Tindouf in the Algerian Sahara, he and a friend suddenly saw a light approaching him.
The two men were very scared because they had left for the city center without asking permission from their supervisor, and probably thought at first that they were wanted. So they hid behind a sand hill, while the light was approaching right in front of them within 4.5 meters, and the screen seemed to them like some kind of fantastic movie, imposing and beautiful.
For the witness, there was no doubt that it was a UFO, even if its size was almost 9 meters. It hovered 1.50 meters above the ground, with a single lantern at the front and back, different from the other lanterns, which seemed to descend and project into place as a "square" beam or square section.
It also had a light on top and another on the bottom, and both of them were called beautiful. The ship also had" windows " with dark light (darkened or darker?), and they didn't hear any engine noise, only sound compared to a normal fan.
Then the two men disappeared, the witness looked back when he was at a distance of 30 meters from the UFO. Then he saw that the UFO had stopped in front of the bay, and that a scanty "thing" had come out of it, which he could not see well, but it had a small bump on its head. Then he ran away again, running as fast as he could.
The witness clarified that it was a full moon and therefore visibility was good. Neither he nor his friend dared to tell their story for fear of being thought mad.

The witness specified that it was full moon and that the visibility was thus good. Neither him nor his friend had dared to tell their story, by fear to be perhaps considered crazy.
