There were three of them. It was pitch-dark outside, and they glowed very brightly, at first a yellow-green color, then it became almost orange. They vacuumed for a while, lit up, and then went down behind the trees. The light illuminated the sky in the valley over which they were flying (between the cascades).
Often the light emitted from all directions around the ship, forming a circle or ball of light, would become very bright, and then become almost dim. Nothing like that.
They continued to glow and dim, then two of them disappeared, and one remained. About an hour later, another one appeared and disappeared again.
We saw a lot of smoke coming from where they were before they disappeared. Then they left.

Summary: There were three of them. It was pitch black outside, and they were glowing very bright, a yellowsh green color at first, then it turned almost orange. They would hoover for a while, get bright, and then move downbehind some trees. The light illuminated the skies in the valley they were flying over (between the cascades.) Often, the light emitting from all around the craft, forming a circle, or ball of light, would get very bright, and then it would dim to almost nothing. They kept basically glowing and diming, then two of them disapeared and one remained. After about an hour, another one came back up and was gone again. We saw alot of smoke coming from the area they were around before they would disapear. Then they were gone.
