The 51-year-old witness was lying in bed in his sleep when he woke up, experiencing that funny feeling that someone was looking at him. The feeling was clear and real. He opened his eyes a little.
On his bed, no more than two feet (0.6 m) away from him, sat a tiny man, perhaps about 10 inches tall. He quickly closed his eyes, thinking that this was some kind of hallucination caused by sleep. He felt curious, but mostly distrustful.
He decided to open his eyes again to get a better look at him, but not too wide, he didn't want him to know that he was looking at him; he didn't want to scare him. He was worried that it might be afraid of him.
He deliberately held his breath slowly and evenly, pretending to be asleep. This time he opened his eyes, a little wider, looked at them better, and then quickly closed his eyes again.
The little man was still watching him intently, with an expression similar to a person watching an animal in a zoo. He was about 8 to 10 inches (20.32-2534 cm) tall; it wasn't easy to assess, since he was sitting. He sat with his legs crossed and looked directly at the witness.
The witness was sure that he was hallucinating in his sleep, so he decided to open his eyes wide, and they disappeared.
He stopped pretending to be asleep, he was not asleep and completely opened his eyes. To his amazement, he was still there. They looked at each other for a long time, maybe from 5 to 10 seconds. The little man had a very human appearance, except that his eyes were slightly large compared to the size of his head. He had thick brown hair that resembled a "bowl" hairstyle. He was wearing a dark brown jacket and dark green trousers. There was something somewhat archaic about the cut of the jacket. It had very large lapels and a double row of buttons.
He couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman. It was either a man with a slightly feminine facial structure, or a woman with a slightly masculine facial structure.
He was worried that it would scare him, and he wanted it to know that he was a peaceful person, and did not mean that it would not cause harm. He wanted to try to engage him in conversation. His curiosity was irresistible.
He opened his eyes for the fourth time, but he was no longer there. The witness did indeed search the room for several minutes. According to the witness, " my perception of the technological superiority of humanity was destroyed."
