Initial data
At about 2 a.m., JM woke up to go to the toilet. When she entered the bathroom, she heard a low hum, similar to an electric sound, which, as it seemed to her, came from the refrigerator motor. But when she came out of the bathroom, she realized that the hum was coming from outside and was much louder.
She put on her coat and ski-doo boots and went outside, just in time to see a large cigar-shaped object flying over her house from west to east. It consisted of a long solid light in front and a short one in the back, similar to a horizontal exclamation mark.
She watched him for about 10-15 seconds, then ran into the house for binoculars. When she came out, the object was further to the east, and the buzz was fading. The witness said that the object was lower than the jet, but reached the height of a small plane. The surveillance ended by 2:05 a.m.
She said that if she hadn't woken up to go to the toilet, she would have missed everything. She wanted to contact me at that time, but waited until 10:30 that morning to talk to me.
The following messages were received by phone to me after my letter to the editor appeared in the Friday issue of The Northern Life magazine for March 19.

At about 2:00 a.m., JM woke up to go to the washroom. As she entered the bathroom, she heard a low hum, similar to an electrical sound, which she thought was coming from the fridge's motor. But when she walked out of the bathroom, she realized that the hum was coming from outside and was much louder. She put on her coat and ski-doo boots and went outside, just in time to see a large cigar-shaped object as it flew over her house from west to east. It consisted of a long solid light in the front, followed by a short light in the back, like an horizontal exclamation mark.
She observed it for about 10 - 15 seconds, then ran into the house to get her binoculars. When she came back out, the object was further away to the east, and the humming sound was fading. The witness said that the object was lower than a jet, but as high as a small plane. The sighting was over by 2:05 a.m. She said that if she hadn't woken up to go to the washroom, she would have missed the whole thing. She wanted to contact me at that time, but waited until 10:30 that morning, to talk to me.
