Initial data
In early January 1998, a man (PM) and his girlfriend were walking on frozen ice on Lake Temagami near the coastline of Bear Island. It was about 12:30 when he saw a green glow about 50 meters wide above the tree line. At first he ignored it, thinking his mind was playing tricks, then the light turned red for 3 seconds and then turned green again.
He's writing:
"There are no traffic lights on Bear Island because it is too small for cars. My friend and I panicked and ran home from where we came from. I immediately called my dad, he's a reserve constable, to check the lights. He jumped on the ski-doo to the glowing light, and it disappeared over the horizon. The next day, two jets from North Bay Air Base flew over the same area where the lights were. Is it a coincidence?
My mom remembers that she and a group of her friends saw something very similar to a teenager hovering over the ice near the same place."
