Initial data
At about 18:00, a resident of Walden was talking to a couple of neighbors and noticed a round silver ball at a height of about 50 feet above the house... round shape the size of a football. She said:
"What the hell is this?"
In the eyes of other neighbors, he has shrunk to the size of a tennis ball. The object began to hover in the air, very slowly moving away to the east.
She also reported that she saw something else in the same place where there were lights... three lights: red, green and yellow.
"AND he wasn't moving or anything, he was just sitting over the top of the tree," she said.
She said she couldn't see any shape or anything like that.
She also told about a third case when she was 17 years old, when she lived in Ottawa. From her 17th-floor balcony, she and a friend saw what looked like three fires. She doesn't remember the color, but the object sat there, then moved from left to right, and then sat again for a while.
Original news
Date: August 14, 1998 (reported on September 6, 1999).
Location: Walden, Ontario.
At around 6 p.m., a Walden resident was talking to a couple of neighbours and about 50 feet up above a house, she noticed a round, silver ball...a round shape about the size of a soccer ball. She said: 'What the hell is that?' As the other neighbours looked, it shrunk down to the size of a tennis ball. The object started floating through the air, moving away very slowly towards the east.
She also reported that she had seen something else in the same area that had lights…three lights: red, green and yellow. 'And it wasn't moving or anything, it was just sitting above a treetop,' she said. She said she couldn't see any shape or anything like that.
She also related a third sighting she had when she was 17, living in Ottawa. From her 17th floor balcony, she and a friend saw something similar to the three lights. She doesn't remember the colours, but the object was sitting there, then would move from left to right, then sit for a while again.
