Initial data
A bright white sphere of light was captured "jumping" across the sky of North Wales. The "Audi R8 shaped object" was filmed by garage owner Matthew Norbury last weekend flying over Colwyn Heights.
Its footage shows it hurtling through the atmosphere over North Wales before suddenly changing direction. It is believed that the light may be a fiery meteor, but Mr. Norbury cannot explain its sudden "rebound" and then an obvious change in direction.
The Astronomy Stack Exchange website says that although meteorites can "travel in all directions," Earth's gravity will pull them directly to the surface. It is reported that meteors with fireballs are rarely observed, although, according to the International Meteor Organization, several thousand such meteors occur in the Earth's atmosphere every day.
However, the vast majority of them occur over oceans and uninhabited regions or are hidden in broad daylight.
Sharing the footage with North Wales Live, Mr Norbury said:
"This is the first time I've seen something like an Audi R8 flying through the sky."
The observation has not been recorded anywhere else, and there are no records in ukmeteornetwork of meteorite sightings in the UK since May 2022.

The Astronomy Stack Exchange site said that while meteorites can "travel in all directions", the earth's gravity will pull them straight down towards the surface. Sightings of fireball meteors are reportedly rare, even though several thousand of fireball magnitude occur in the Earth’s atmosphere every day, according to the International Meteor Organisation.
The vast majority of these, however, happen over the oceans and uninhabited regions, or are hidden in broad daylight.
