Features/Characteristics: big bright white light
Description:
The witness, a logging contractor, noticed a large bright white light to the south of his position moving from the town of Kaverau in the west towards Wyman in the east. The light was close to the observer and moved low over the treetops. He disappeared behind the pine trees on the ridge in the direction of Waimana.
The light did not display strobe lights or any other conventional aircraft lighting. The light did not decrease in intensity and did not disappear as it moved across the sky, like the landing lights of an airplane.

Description:
The witness, a logging contractor, sighted a large bright white light to the south of his position, moving from the direction of the township of Kawerau in the west, towards Waimana in the east. The light was close to the observer and moving low over tree tops. It disappeared behind pine trees on a ridge towards Waimana.
The light did not display strobe lights or any other conventional aircraft lighting. The light did not diminish in intensity or disappear as it moved across the sky, as the landing lights of an aircraft would
