At the end of August 1984 (25-26) at 20-21, we (myself and Valery Trofimov, foreman) observed the following phenomenon. From the north-east of us (we are located on the northern outskirts of the city of Elista on the highway to Volgograd 2 km from the city, directly at the railway Elista-Stavropol) at a high altitude, about 50-100 m, a white-silver cloud in the shape of an ellipsoid appeared, the leading edges are sharply outlined, i.e. its surface is like would have rotated, the back edges were dimmer. This "egg" moved relatively unevenly, slowly at first, and after the interaction it stood and quickly went in the same direction. The diagram of the successive stages of change of this moving "cloud" is shown in the figure. As the egg approached us, and something made us look at the top (we had a smoke break and we were just chatting about life). Another white dot with a yellowish tint appeared on the horizon, which moved towards the egg, then it became larger and very bright. I took it for a plane, i.e. not far to the left, there is a route of large planes from Moscow, but they have completely different lights and the nature of the movement is different. The brightness was so strong that it was impossible to take this object for a satellite, and satellites cannot stand in one place. Then the dot began to grow, remaining in place, the egg stopped, its shape became like this (stage 2 in the figure), such a cone of dimmer light stretched towards the ship object. But the ship began to grow and split and stretched into an egg, and in the end disappeared (stage 3). The leading edge of the egg in the opposite direction and it stretched out and moved towards us. Then it went over us, became dimmer and for 1-2 minutes it seemed to dissolve. The dimensions were very large. There were no clouds, no planes flew by.

Our televisions are often malfunctioning due to interference in the receiving antenna. This often happens at 18-30 - 19-20, although there is no electric welding at this time and there are no other sources of interference. TVs work normally during the day. The nature of the interference - the synchronization of the scan is disrupted, the lines are floating.
