Saulius Derkintis writes to the Commission on:
I read an article by a special correspondent of Labor about the case of the plane at 4 hours 10 minutes and decided to write about what I managed to see on October 29, 1983. The eyewitness was my wife Derkintene Herman, my brother Derkintis Rimas, friend Plasushka Vidmantas, my son Germantas - 14 years old and my nephew Dalius - 12 years old.
It happened at my house in the village of Karkle near Klaipeda, which is located on the Baltic Sea coast. At 15-55 we saw 4 metal balls in the sky, which were flying at high speed from east to west. The speed was the same for everyone, since the location and distance between them did not change. While we were dumbfounded discussing what could be there, after 2-3 minutes we saw 3 more flying in the same direction, at the same altitude and at the same speed.
The day was clear and sunny, there were small and sparse clouds at 2-3 km altitude, a mild westerly wind was blowing.
These flying objects flew much higher than the clouds and against the wind. All this happened within 10 minutes.
