Initial data
Julius Korneevich (geologist) tells Khaylo.
It was the end of September. At the end of the day, the sun was setting, we loaded into a helicopter on the plateau of the left side of the Chegem River gorge (abs. altitude 3100 m). The weather was clear and calm. At this time, the helicopter pilots noticed a brightly glowing object moving slowly in the distance in an easterly direction. About 10 minutes later we were down in the gorge in the village of Bulungu, took out binoculars and began to observe the object, which was about 8-10 km down the gorge. According to the pilots, he flew at an altitude of about 8 km. Through binoculars, it was visible that the object had the shape of a tetrahedron, as if suspended by one of the vertices, and the impression was that it was as if something was pulling it in tow, even as if there was a very faint dark dash with a length of 1/4 part of the edge of the tetrahedron, the length of which (edges) about 25-30 m. The edges of the tetrahedron, which shone very strongly in the sun, were somewhat concave inwards. The impression was that it was a rigid frame covered with a metallized film. The color is bluish-gray, silvery-blue.
he moved very slowly and evenly, even stopped watching him all the time. he was within sight for about 1.5 hours, until he disappeared over the mountains towards the city of Nalchik.
Helicopter commander A.K. Rudyashko immediately flew to Nalchik to report on the object in the aviation detachment.
