In the summer of 1968, after the 8th grade, I worked with a team of sculptors in the village (I do not remember the name). In the middle of August, after work in the evening, the three of us went for a walk in a field 4-5 km from the village. The area is open. the sky is clear, sparse small clouds, quiet, windless. The sun was sinking below the horizon, and the crescent moon hung in the sky.

At that moment, we noticed a large ball moving at high speed, its surface illuminated by the sun looked like a reddish glowing ball, the unlit part stood out as a dark spot in the twilight sky. The ball was above the clouds - when the clouds were in shadow, the ball was still illuminated by the sun. He moved quite silently. As they moved away, the visible size of the ball gradually decreased and then it disappeared from view altogether in the west. The maximum angle of its flight path above the horizon was 5-60 degrees. The observation time is about 10 minutes. the object had its own silvery, highly shiny surface. he moved evenly in a straight line at a constant speed. When the balloon was already far away, it looks like it made a side maneuver, changing the direction of flight.

I tried to take pictures with my hands with a long exposure, but only dark stripes turned out on the negative and the negative was not preserved.
