Early in the morning, Theodora Faafia left her house in Porirua and noticed three lights hovering in the dark sky above the city.
Faafia was with her cousin and they both noticed the lights and wondered what it was. She filmed them on her phone for a few seconds and then posted them to a local group to see if anyone knew what they might be.
"So, when I was leaving the house this morning, we noticed these three big fires hovering over the town of Porirua. Does anyone know what it could be?" she wrote.
One of the users wrote in the comments that he also saw it, but no one had an exact theory as to what kind of lights they were.
Faafia says she has "no idea" what those lights are.
"I just thought it was weird, and my cousin thought so too, because it wasn't airplane lights or anything like that, it was just something motionless in the sky," she told the Herald.
